Aladar Baranyai

Aladar Baranyai was among the first to introduce the spirit of art nouveau into Croatian architecture. In his projects, he strove for a synthesis of architecture, crafts, painting and sculpture. Until the First World War, its architecture was characterized by pronounced Art Nouveau decorativeness. After the war, in the spirit of modernist currents, he tends to refine the form.
